Showcase event highlighting skills and creativity of IACC-member conference venue chefs

MELBOURNE – 14 February 2024: Cliftons Event Solutions is set to host the Asia-Pacific chapter of IACC’s Global Copper Skillet chef of the year competition. Being held in Melbourne on 21 February 2024, this event highlights the artistry and skills of IACC-member conference venue chefs and the importance of food in delivering incredible event experiences.

“The IACC Copper Skillet competition is similar to MasterChef. Entrants will compete in a cook-off using a Mystery Basket of 5 ingredients, 3 being plant-based proteins, and have access to a range of pantry items. With just fifteen minutes for prep and thirty minutes to cook, entrants create two identical plates for judging and viewing by a professional panel and the audience. It’s an opportunity to showcase the creativity and care that goes into creating function dishes for conference venues and the incredible skills of the chefs that work in the meeting and events industry,” says Vanessa Green, CEO of Cliftons.

The IACC Copper Skillet competition forms part of an IACC study tour, with member attendees and select Cliftons VIPs also touring Cliftons Freshwater Place, Melbourne venue. Both IACC and Cliftons believe that exceptional meetings drive powerful connections, with this event showcasing some of the ways organisations can tap into creating remarkable event experiences.
